As a psychoanalytic therapist , my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By looking at concious and unconcious childhood memories, associations, and beliefs about yourself we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life. By discussing night dreams and day dreams and even nightmares we will discover new ways to open up your best self.  Through simply talking and relating we will find how you can become the person you want to be.

I do not believe in therapy that labels you as sick and then tries to provide a cure.  Anything that you are experiencing can be helped and transformed in a therapeutic relationship.  There is no cure there is just growth.  For example if you are particularly depressed right now it does not mean you are sick and should take a pill for it.  Your depression if understood can be a stepping stone to a new sense of self and life.
